It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hubert A. Locke of Robert's Arm, NL, age 75, announces his passing on Monday, August 13, 2018 from the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, NL.

Hubert Armenious Locke was born on March 28, 1943 to Parmenious and Emma Locke of Miles Cove. He was one of seven children, five boys and two girls.

At the age of 24, he met the woman of his dreams and after they dated for 3 years, they were married on March 28, 1970. Together they had two children Paul and Michelle, whom he loved dearly. Words could never describe the depth of his love for his children; he would do anything for them. His family meant everything to him; they were a vital part of who he was.

Hubert was a man who loved many things in life, from being a mechanic, a wood worker to serving others. Nothing was ever too much to do for his family and friends; he loved spending time with them. He worked as a mechanic with IOC at Labrador City for 30 years and loved it there.

In his early 30's he accepted the Lord into his heart and became a Christian, in January 1983 he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the Pentecostal Church in Labrador City. He was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church in Labrador City, Robert's Arm, and Springdale for many years. He served and was involved in various areas of ministry within his local church such as men's fellowship, being an usher, crusader leader, etc.   Hubert loved to give of his time to the work of the Lord.

On Monday, August 13, 2018 he left his earthly home to take up residence in his Heavenly Home with his Lord and Saviour and all his loved ones who have gone on before.

Hubert is predeceased by his parents Parmenious and Emma Locke; brother Maxwell Locke; sister Bessie Locke.

He leaves to remember the wonderful life that he lived, his wife Maisie Locke; son Paul Locke; daughter Michelle Locke (Cory Locke); brothers Harvey Locke, Hughie (Irene) Locke, Fred Locke; sister Joan Rowsell, as well as many other extended family members and friends. Gone But Not Forgotten – Forever In Our Hearts!

The Home Going service was held from Miles Cove Pentecostal Church, Miles Cove, on August 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Laun Brushett officiating, assisted by Pastors David and Joan Wells. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Miles Cove. Honorary Pallbearer was his brother Harvey Locke. Pallbearers were his son Paul Locke, brothers Fred Locke, Hughie Locke; Michelle's boyfriend Cory Locke; brother-in-law Ivan Pittman; friend Gray Cromwell. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
