Golda Pearl
May
Nov 1, 1939 — Jan 29, 2022
King's Point
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Golda Pearl May of King's Point, NL, age 82, announces her passing on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Golda is predeceased by her parents, John & Cindy Tucker; brother, Melvin Tucker; brother-in-law, Claude Thomas.
Golda leaves to remember the wonderful life that she shared with her loving husband, Harold May; daughters, Verna (Tony) Tucker, & Stella (Shawn Rideout) Tucker; sons, Don May, Kevin May, & Terry (Paula) May; sister, Phyllis Thomas.
Golda was born to John and Cindy Tucker at Mansfield Point, NL, on November 1, 1939.
Mom had a family of six children, one deceased at birth and five living. As the family became more independent, mom decided to get a job, which was a baker at Pilgrim's Bakery, King's Point. Later, she left the bakery and became a sit in Nanny for Pat and Melinda King, who became a very big part of our family.
In her spare time she loved the outdoors, doing things like hunting, fishing and going in the woods.
Mom and Dad loved spending time at the cabin winter time and going to their summer cottage up on the highway. They were a couple that did everything together; as a couple they showed love and what a marriage is all about. They were married for 67 wonderful years.
The Celebration of Life service was held from The Salvation Army, King's Point on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Major Betty Thomas officiating. Interment was at the King's Point Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were son Terry May; son-in-law Tony Tucker; family friends Jeff Bartlett, Perry Gillingham, Clem Newbury & Ernest Hollett.
