It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Frederick Cecil Oxford of Pilley's Island, NL, age 91, announces his passing on June 17, 2025 at A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre, Buchans, NL.

Fred leaves to remember with fond and loving  memories; Sons: Bobby (Kim) Oxford, Tony (Sandy) Oxford, and Delbert Oxford (Jack); Daughters: Linda Oxford (Ean), Cordella (Bill) Vincent, Sylvia Oxford (Peter); Brother: Roy Oxford;10 Grandchildren;13 Great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of other family members and friends.

Fred is predeceased by his wife of 62 years Flossie; Parents: Job and Violet; Brother: Otto Rice; Sister: Ethel Roberts

Fred was born in Pilley's Island on November 5, 1933 to Job and Violet Oxford. He married Flossie from Forteau, Labrador in 1953. Together they had 6 children.  He went to work in the wood cutting industry when he was 15. At the age of 20 he started working in the mining industry, where he worked for 45 years. He was an excellent provider for his family.

The public visitation will take place Saturday June 21, 2025 at 2-4pm from Green Bay Funeral Home, 145 Cpl. S. Bouzane Blvd. Springdale, NL.

The funeral service will be held from Green Bay Funeral Home, on Sunday June 22, 2025 at 2 pm with Pastor Wayne Noble officiating.  The interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley's Island, NL.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
