It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Gilbert Butt of Springdale, NL, age 86, announces his passing on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale.

Frederick was born on August 14, 1932 to Azariah and Blanche Butt of Springdale, NL. He was one of eight children, six boys and two girls.

He loved his bible and sharing the Word with others. Frederick had a great love for God and His handiwork, the great outdoors, standing under the canopy of Heaven daily; as he would go for his daily walks. On his walks throughout the day, he would make frequent visits to Tim Horton's or Subway.

Most of all he loved his family visits. Let's not forget how he always had a smile for everyone and most definitely his sense of fashion, looking good was a must for him!

He is predeceased by his parents Azariah and Blanche Butt; wife Daisy Butt; son Roy Butt; brothers Walter Butt, Baxter Butt, Lloyd Butt, Roy Butt; sisters Beatrice Clarke, Mildred Parsons.

Frederick leaves to mourn his son Dorman Butt; daughters Cordella (Wayne) Butler, Eurie (Guy) Adams, Beulah (Everett) Warford, Chloe (Bill) Dawe, Michelle (Dave) Willis; brother Ford (Georgina) Butt; grandchildren Angela Thomas, Terri-Lynn Feltham, Sheldon Warford, Kayla Butt, Mark Butler, Amanda Butler, Melanie Perry, Brandon Dawe, Kirk Butt, Kent Butt, Faith Butt, Sara Willis, D.J. Willis; great grandchildren Emily Thomas, Sydney Thomas, Katie-Lynn Butt, Leah Butt, Felix Butt, Clark Butt, Lewis Butt, Aidan Perry, Hudson Scobie; daughter-in-law Katrina Butt, as well as many other extended family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Springdale Pentecostal Church, Springdale, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating, assisted by Pastor William Sampson. Interment was at Pentecostal Cemetery, Grant Avenue, Springdale. The pallbearers were daughters Eurie Adams, Chloe Dawe, Beulah Warford, Michelle Willis; son Dorman Butt; granddaughter Faith Butt; nephew Michael Butt; niece Betty-Lynn Kelly. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
