It is with sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Roberts, age 74,of Triton, NL announces her passing on September 6,2013.

Evelyn was born November 29, 1938 in Port Anson to Donald and Hilda Hewlett. She married Warrick Roberts on March 27, 1957 and together they raised 10 children (6 girls & 4 boys). Evelyn was a woman of great faith who served the Lord for all of her life. She loved everybody and was especially glad to hear about the birth of a new baby (whether it was in her family or not). Her compassion and kindness for others always showed through by her actions and her gentle words. Evelyn was totally devoted to raising her family with her husband and only worked outside the home for 7 years. She loved to attend church, and every opportunity she was there. She had a great love and appreciation for her church family and pastors. Evelyn enjoyed life to the fullest; she always loved visits with her family and friends and made sure she had their favorite foods prepared upon their arrival. She loved to read, bake (she made the best bread ever!), cook, sew, knit and embroidery. She loved to take roads trips with Warrick, even if it was only to Brighton for an ice cream. She also loved her boat outings, whether it was catching cod or a boil up on the rocks. Missing her are her husband, Warrick; daughters Margaret (Wayne), Deanna (Robert), Jackie (Shawn), Joanne (Jody), Kitty (Mike) & Marcie; sons, Robbie (Deira), Morris (Theresa), Monty, Tim(Trena); 17 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren; sisters Marion (Dominic), Blanche, Maisie (Willie), Patsy (Ed) and Christine (Wally). She is predeceased by parents, Donald & Hilda Hewlett; brother, Reuben; sister, Myrtle; and infant son, Bobby. "In the hearts of those who love you, your influence will never die."

Funeral service was held on September 10, 2013from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton with Pastor Kent Sceviour officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Triton. The pallbearers were sons, Robbie, Morris, Monty & Tim and grandsons Tyler Roberts & Chad Willis. Funeral arrangements were entrustedto Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
