It is with sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Louise May (nee Freake), age 78 of Springdale, NL announces her Promotion to Glory at the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Kenneth May; parents George and Emeline Freake; sister Marjorie England-Coombs; brothers Nelson Freake, Sidney Freake.

She leaves to remember the wonderful life she lived, her nephew Don May (who was her care giver and also like a son to her); brothers Clarence Freake, Philip Freake; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, as well as many other family members and friends. She will be surely missed by her family and friends, but not forgotten. They will cherish the memories built together on earth and they await that " glad reunion morning ."

The Service of Tribute and Memory was held from The Salvation Army, Springdale, on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Majors Joshua and Pauline Randell officiating. Interment was at the Interfaith Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephew Don May; niece Glenda Hale; nephew-in-law Irving Hale; friends Linda Webber, Roger Parsons, Tony Tucker. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
