On February 8, 2010, the longest term resident of Valley Vista Senior��s Home, Eva Noble, passed away. Eva was born to Mary Ann and Gilbert Noble at Langdon��s Cove on August 18, 1914. In 1944, after the passing of her mother, she was cared for by her brother Freeman and his wife Frances until she was admitted to the Valley Vista Senior��s Home, in 1981. The Valley Vista was home for Eva for the last 29 years of her life and the family felt that she was very happy and loved there, thanks to the wonderful staff. She will be missed. The funeral service was conducted by Major Gerald Lacey from the Salvation Army Citadel in Harry��s Harbour on Wednesday, February 10. Interment followed at the Community Cemetery in Jackson��s Cove where Eva was laid to rest next to her brother Willis. Pallbearers were Byron, Keith, Jody, Barry, Kerry Noble and Randy Osmond.
