Ethel Seymour (Hancock)
1937-2013
It was with sadness that the family of the late Ethel Seymour (Hancock), age 75,of Roddickton, NL, announces her passing on January 21,2013. Ethel was born to Kenneth and Alice Mugford of Roddickton on August 2, 1937. She later married the late Shem Hancock and together they had two daughters, Minnie and Mary. Ethel loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed eating, knitting, spending time with family and friends, and having a good laugh. Ethel was probably most appreciated as a prayer warrior. Her family could always count on her prayers. After losing her husband, Shem, Ethel later met and married John Seymour of South Brook and they enjoyed nearly eight years together. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents Ethel is predeceased by her first husband, Shem; and other siblings. She leaves to mourn husband, John; daughters, Minnie, Mary(Gus); grandchildren, Patti (Barry),Tyson (Caryn), Jason (Candace); great grandchildren, Brett, James, Kiyerra & Arrick; sisters, Emma, Mary & Betty; and a large number of other relatives& friends. The funeral service was held fromRoddickton Pentecostal Church on January 24, 2013, officiated by Pastor Garfield Pinksen, with interment at Pentecostal Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Tyson (grandson), Michael Way (great-nephew), David Simms, Lawrence Wilcox, Edward Hancock, & Morris Wilcox. Honorary pallbearer was Patti Canning (granddaughter).
