Eric Roberts
1932-2013
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Eric Roberts, age 81 of Triton, on May 10, 2013. He was born February 18th, 1932 to John & Beatrice Roberts. He married Vera Vincent on December 3rd, 1948 and together they had 10 children (7 boys & 3 girls). Eric was a man with many skills, as a fisherman, carpenter and a businessman. He operated a general store for many years. Eric served the Lord for most of his life. He was an active church member, receiving a 40 year service award for playing the accordion. Eric was also involved in helping the local people with accounting affairs. He also served on community council. Eric and Vera loved to travel and made many friends on the Island and loved to entertain guests at their home. After Vera''s passing Eric''s zest for life dwindled, but now they are united for eternity. He was Predeceased by: Parents: John & Beatrice Roberts Wife: Vera daughter: Joan Brothers: Alexander (Pearl); Willis (Gladys) & Pearce (Lillian).Sisters: Annie (Willis) Lush; Irene (Pearce) Locke; Lulu (Albert)Forsey & Leah (Ezra) Rideout. Left to mourn: Sons: Everett (Nellie); Donald (Bonnie); Wayne (Margaret) Clayton (Beryl); Paul (Margaret); Tom (Bonnie) & Christopher (Wanda) daughters: Patricia (Edward) & Nola (Gloria) 25 Grandchildren; 32 Great-grandchildren & 2 Great-great-grandchildren
The funeral service was conducted from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton on Sunday May 12, 2103 2011 with Pastor Jeffrey Elliott officiating, assisted by Pastor Brad Noel. Interment followed at Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were daughter Patricia, sons Chris, Clayton, Everett, Tom, Wayne. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock & Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home.
