It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Elma Gloria Austin of Springdale, NL, age 75, announces her passing on January 5, 2026 at her pastoral residence in Seldom, NL.

Elma leaves to remember with fond and loving memories her husband Bryce of 54 years along with two son's Darren (Tamara) & Matthew (Bianca); grandchildren Dara, Katelynn, Axel, & Cruze; sister Miriam & brother Terry (Joyce); as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Elma is predeceased by her parents Leonard & Mondella Burridge; sister Barbara Burridge; brother Wayne Burridge.

Elma lived a life radiant with faith, joy, and unwavering devotion. For many years, she poured her heart into Christian ministry across Newfoundland and Ontario, serving with grace and compassion in the communities she cherished. She had a deep love for people—always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, or an encouraging word. Music was her delight; she found joy in song, whether lifting her voice in worship, sharing melodies with family and friends, or simply letting the rhythm of a favourite hymn fill her days. Though she is deeply missed, her light shines on in the hearts she touched and the beautiful life she lived.

The visitation will be held from Green Bay Funeral Home 145 Cpl. S. Bouzane Blvd. Springdale, NL. Saturday January 10, 2026, 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM

The funeral service will be held from The Springdale Pentecostal Church in Springdale, NL, on Sunday January 11 at 2 PM with Pastor Lucas Perry officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed from the Springdale Pentecostal Church Facebook page.

Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Cherry, Cres. Springdale, NL.
