It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Edna Doris Sacrey of Robert's Arm, NL, age 97, announces her passing on October 30, 2023.

She leaves to remember with fond and loving memories, daughters, Iris (Wilson) Butt, Loris (Leander) Hewlett; grandchildren, Paul (Lisa) Butt, Lynette Hewlett, Lindy (Deanna) Hewlett; great-grandchildren, Samantha Butt (Alfred), Dylan Butt (Elsa) , Austin Doody, Adam Doody, Alexis Doody, Lennox Hewlett, Brielle Hewlett; great-great grandchildren Jaxon Doody, Peyton Butt, Keatyn Butt; brothers Howard (Georgina) Bath, Ralph (Rita) Bath; sisters Margaret Sacrey, Shirley Norman; brother-in-law Sidney Sacrey (Phyllis).

Edna is predeceased by her husband, Pastor Ralph Sacrey; parents, Dawe & Daisy Bath; four infant sons; brothers, Jimmy Bath, Herbert (Bernice) Bath; sisters, Verna (Clarence) Hamyln, Fannie (Andrew) Sacrey, & Gertie (Gus) Burton; parents-in law, Robert & Maude Sacrey; brothers-in-law, Clarence Sacrey, Ford Norman; sisters-in-law, Emily Head, Leah Earl, Marie Norman, Minnie Sacrey; as well as a wide circle of family and friends.

Edna was born in La Scie and raised on the Horse Islands. As a young girl she went to La Scie to work and later moved to Pacquet where she met Ralph. They were married on January 22, 1944 and spent 65 years together.  Later they went in the ministry and pastored several churches in the province. Edna was there to help Ralph in any way she could in church work. They retired in Roberts Arm in 1981. Edna had many close friends throughout the province. She was known for her hospitality and was always giving away buns, pies, desserts and knitted goods. Edna lived in Roberts Arm until she moved to Kingsway in Springdale in 2018 and later to Valley Vista where she passed away on October 30, 2023.

The public visitation took place Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Word of Life Tabernacle, Roberts Arm, NL.

The funeral service took place Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1 pm.  The interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Roberts, NL.

As expressions of sympathy donations in Edna's memory were made to a charity one's choice.
