It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family of the late Edna Bernice Huxter, age 63 of Springdale, NL announces her passing from Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.

On January 17, 1956 Jessie and Harry welcomed a beautiful new baby girl into their world. She was one of four siblings, Peggy, Jack and Tony.

Edna was a DIY DIVA, she loved to create new things and remake old. Her garden was a testament of many of her projects. Her love of gardening was shown through her beautiful garden. Her talents were many from knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Edna loved many things in life, her family, her garden, her pets, but her first love was her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Edna loved to attend church and the various ministries of her church.

She will be remembered for her devotion to her daughter, mother and dog, her hard work by her co-workers and friends; she was also known for her beautiful smile and a gentle soul by many.

Edna will be missed deeply by her family, her co-workers, her church family and her many friends.

Edna is predeceased by her father Harry Huxter.

She leaves to remember the wonderful life that she lived, her daughter Selina 'Jane' (Jason) Fontaine; mother Jessie Huxter; sister Peggy ( Terry ) Dawe; brothers Jack (Dale) Huxter, Tony (Joanne) Huxter; nephews Ty Huxter, Kegan Huxter, Stephen Dawe; many aunts,uncles and cousins who were special to her, as well as other family members and friends. She left indelible memories for her family and friends to cherish. Edna will be missed greatly by her co-workers at Lawton's Drug Store, her church family, as well as the community she served.

The Celebration of Life service was held from The Springdale Pentecostal Church on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor William Sampson officiating. Interment was at the Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. The pallbearers were brothers Jack and Tony Huxter; brother-in-law Terry Dawe; co-workers Peter Andrews, Kurt Tizzard and Corey Wiseman. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford at Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale
