It is with sadness that the family of the late Edmund Winsor of Triton, NL, age 89, announce his passing on October 17, 2022. Edmund leaves to remember with beautiful memories the wonderful life he shared, his sons Wade (Marilyn) Winsor, Corvin (Bride) Winsor, Brian (Rhonda) Winsor; daughter Beryl (Clayton) Roberts; grandchildren Patty (Kirk) Winsor, Russell (Amy) Roberts, Christine Roberts (Jason Drew), Bailey Roberts, David (Lalena) Winsor, Sarah (Jonathan) Kennedy, Byron (Jenny) Winsor, Ryan (Jennifer) Winsor, Tia (Adam) Rowsell, Lucas Winsor; great-grandchildren Cameron Winsor, Ethan Rowsell, Ryland Rowsell, Brenna Rowsell, Lulu Winsor, Wren Winsor, Wesley Winsor, Kayden Winsor, William Winsor, Jordan Rowsell, Emma Rowsell, Nora Kennedy, Karter Chatman, Kendra Chatman; brother Cyril Winsor; sisters Marie Heath, Margaret James, Rowie Oliver.

Edmund is predeceased by his wife Jean Winsor; infant child; parents George & Melvina Winsor; brothers Stewart Winsor, Claude Winsor; sister Audrey Vincent.

Edmund Walter John was born in Triton, NL, on March 11, 1933. He was one of eight children to George and Melvina Winsor. He fell in love with the love of his life Jean Vincent, of Triton, NL. Together they raised their four wonderful children: Beryl, Wade, Corvin, and Brian.

Edmund started working at the young age of sixteen, where he entered the work force as a logger. Later in life he started fishing in the off-season, and eventually became a full-time fisherman. Edmund loved the outdoors; he enjoyed cutting firewood and making sure he had plenty of winters wood on hand. He also enjoyed his boat and especially the lobster fishery.

Upon retirement, he briefly started a venture raising foxes for their furs. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin, down the brook with his wife and friends. His other hobbies included gardening and spending many hours reading.

Edmund will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, on October 20, 2022, at 2:00pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment was at Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons Wade Winsor, Corvin Winsor, Brian Winsor; grandsons Byron Winsor, Lucas Winsor; granddaughter Patty Winsor.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford and Julia Budgell of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
