Garland Earl Adams 1921-2012
It is withsadness that the family of the late Earl Adams of Springdale, NL, announces his passing on June 26, 2012. Earl was born to John F. And Elvie Adams, Bulley''s Cove, NL on January 28, 1921. The Adams family stared a fish trade business in Round Harbour in 1919. They moved to Springdale in 1950. Earl moved in 1952 to work in the business with his father and brother. Earl and Jack ran the business, Adams and Sons. In 1970 the business was renamed Springdale Home and Auto Supplies until Earl''s retirement in 1985. Earl loved reading books, listening to the radio and watching television, especially the news. He was a very private person. Earl supported the United Church faithfully. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother R.C. Adams. Left to mourn: Sister Phyllis White; Sister in law Stella Adams; Nephews Barry(Viona), Kurt(Marion), Perry(Ina),Terry(Raelene), Nieces Carolyn(Jerry), Valerie(Skipper).

The funeral service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale on June 29, 2012, officiated by Rev. George Gard , assisted by Major Lindsay Oxford, with interment following at The United Church Cemetery, Springdale.
Pallbearers were: Nephews, Barry, Kurt, Perry Adams and Terry White; Roy White and Dean Armstrong.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.

Donations may be made in his memory to Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Newfoundland & Labrador.
