It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family of Dylan Rice, age 18, announces his tragic passing at Port Anson on January 26, 2018.

Dylan grew up in Port Anson and enjoyed the wonderful life that Port Anson offered. He graduated from Dorset Collegiate in June 2017. Dylan was a gentle, kind individual with a caring spirit, with a few rough edges and a great sense of humor.

He loved most all activities of the outdoors - including hunting, salmon and trout fishing, snaring rabbits trapping for fox and mink, and skidooing. You name it, he loved it! He would sell anything to anybody. He would sell ice in the Arctic. He had lots of friends and would be happiest when his friends were happy.

Anyone who knew Dylan surely came to love him like family. His smile lit up the room. He will be dearly missed by all.

Left to remember with many wonderful and cherished memories are his parents Tony and Bonnie Rice; brothers James (Courtney) Peckford and Jesse Rice; sister Chantel Rice; grandparents Roy and Bernice Rice, Vernin and Joan Rose; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Ever Remembered, Ever Loved – Forever In Our Hearts!

The Celebration of Life service was held from Redemption Pentecostal Assembly, Port Anson, on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Henry Sansome officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Port Anson. The honorary pallbearers were friends Jadon Elliott, Lorenzo Burton, James Burton, Devon Heath. The pallbearers were brothers James Peckford, Jesse Rice; cousin Kolby Brown; friends Mackenzie Ryan, Joey Burton, Adam Doody, Carter Rowsell Brandon Morey. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

Memories of Dylan
Tear-stained faces,
Broken hearted souls.
Memories are things
We should behold.

Think about the good,
Try to accept the bad.
Don't think about what could have been,
Think about what we had.

The laughs we all shared,
Things we all did together.
It's true you are gone,
But will be remembered forever.

And if tears were enough,
You'd be here again.
But for now we will walk,
Down memory lane.
