DONNA WHELAN 1947-2012
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donna Whalen announces her passing on January 17, 2012. Donna was born to Charles and Edna Weir on April 21, 1947 and later married Donald Whelan. Together they raised five children. Donna was a well loved, respected woman, who was known for her hospitality and positive outlook on life. She left a remarkable legacy for her children, who were shaped many years ago by her love, care, and attention. She will be dearly missed.
She is predeceased by her mother and sister (Linda). Besides her father, she leaves to mourn husband Donald, son Shawn (Melissa); daughters Sue (Clyde), Wavey (Brian), Wendy (Greg), Nicole (Peter); sisters Eileen, Shirley, Rose, Marilyn; brothers Ray, Pearce, Roy, Eugene, Wayne; grandchildren Chad, April, Jake, Breagh, Michaela, Sarah, Gillian, Synjin, Darien, Meaghan and one great-grandchild K'Dyn as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was conducted from The Salvation Army, Pilley''s Island Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Majors Marvin and Vera Youden with interment following at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley''s Island. Pallbearers were son Shawn; grandson Chad; sons-in-law Peter, Brian, Clyde & Greg.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Noel and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
