It is with sadness that the family of the late David Parsons, age 60 of Springdale, NL announces his passing at Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, NL on Sunday, May 22, 2016.

David was born and raised in Springdale, NL. He was a very private person who enjoyed the simple things of life. In his earlier years he enjoyed working at the town's only theatre where he made contact with a lot of people. Later he got involved with lawn care and maintenance. But the one thing that David enjoyed more than anything was the companionship of his dogs. Many in this community will remember him taking his daily walks through town and on the boardwalk with his border collie, Ben, and then most recently with Buddy, after his beloved Ben passed away.

David was pre-deceased by his parents Darius and Minnie Parsons. He was dearly loved and will be remembered by his family and special friends.

The funeral service was held May 25, 2016 from Green Bay Funeral Home with Majors Collin and Jacqueline Abbott officiating. Pallbearers were Irving Hale, Baxter Blake, Tony Burton, Wayne Burton, Colin Saunders and Brian Whitehorne. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale, next to his parents. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home.
