It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Dave Bruce Edison of Springdale, NL, age 58, announces his sudden passing at his residence on April 11, 2026.

Dave leaves to remember with fond and loving  memories his wife of 33 years Lisa; daughters Alycia (Daniel) Oxford, Emily Edison & Brady Snow; grandchildren Will, Nate, Wes Oxford and baby girl Darci arriving in June.  Siblings Randy (Rene) Edison, Trudy (Cluney) Randell; sisters in law Jane (Gerry) Manning, Jennifer (Jason) Sparkes; brothers in law John (Patricia) Warr, Brian (Judy) Warr, Robert (Kathy) Warr; parents in law Harold & Margaret Warr.

David is predeceased by his parents Dexter & Sylvia Edison.

Dave was a genuinely kind and caring individual – to everyone. There was, without a doubt, a special spot in his heart for family and friends and he demonstrated that daily. He had an amazing capacity in his heart for others and gained great joy from helping and supporting people of all ages.

Dave was cherished as a friend to so many. His quiet confidence and an ability to put people at ease was endearing. His business interests saw him supervising many employees - anyone who worked for him and Lisa were treated like family. Together they have always been tremendous supporters of local activities and events, constantly helping out via sponsorships and donations. A tireless volunteer, Dave contributed immensely to his community - from town council to  swim team to coaching numerous hockey teams and everything in between. Most recently, he could be seen beaming with pure joy when coaching his grandsons in their hockey.

Soft spoken, driven, respectful and always seeking the best for others, Dave has left a lasting legacy of making the world, and certainly our little town of Springdale, a better place.

The public visitation will take place, Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Green Bay Funeral Home, 145 Cpl. S. Bouzane Blvd. Springdale, NL.

The funeral service will take place Friday April 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Springdale Pentecostal Church, 140 Little Bay Road, Springdale, NL officiated by Robert Knight (Layperson).

The interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Springdale, NL.
