Clifford Joseph
Jones Sr.
Apr 10, 1936 — Jul 28, 2017
Triton, NL
It is with sadness that the family of the late Clifford Joseph Jones of Triton, NL, age 81, announces his passing, on Friday, July 28, 2017 from Triton, NL.
Clifford was born in Deer Lake on April 10, 1936 to Ernest and Bridgette Jones. At an early age he went to live with his Aunt Olive whom he considered his second mom.
He started working at an early age and continued to work into his late seventies; which goes to show he was a hardworking man who provided for his family. He spent many years at the "woods racket". It wasn't always easy but he was a determined man who never gave up.
Clifford would do anything for his family and was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was financially or just to give a word of advice. He was someone you could always depend on.
He was well respected by his employees and friends, of which there were many. Everyone who knew him always had a good word to say. He was a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor and a big heart.
Predeceased by parents Ernest and Bridgette Jones; daughter Maureen; brothers Nathaniel, Kevin, Patrick.
Leaving to mourn wife Shirley; children Clifford (Pauline), Jerry (Diane), Sherry (Colin); grandchildren Jonathan, Tyler, Nathan, Nicholas; brothers Ernest Junior (Barb), Ward (Joan),Tommy (Sheila); sisters Madelyn Peddle, Ann White, Rita (Don) Hatcher, Olive (Don) White, Beatrice (Ron) Lake, Genevieve Perrier (James).
You will be forever loved and sadly missed. May you rest in peace.
The Celebration of Life Service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeffery Elliott officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
