It is with great sadness, but a sense of peace, that the family of the late Clarence William Steadman Fifield, age 72 of South Brook, NL announce his death. Clarence passed away in the presence of his loving wife at the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, on September 8, 2020.

Clarence (Clar) William Steadman Fifield, born in the last year of the True Newfoundlanders on February 17, 1948 in South Brook, Newfoundland to Chesley and Doris (Wells) Fifield.

A proud Newfoundlander, he grew up in South Brook, with his sister Velma. He started work at an early age, with a work ethic second to none, and worked diligently right up to retirement at age of 64.

In 1966 he met Lillian Woodworth and married on November 29th, 1968. On their journey of 51 plus years, they were blessed with two children Denise and Richard who blessed them in return with 6 precious grandchildren (Michelle, Jayden, Cody, Claire, Pearl, and Patrick).

He was a humble, yet intelligent man who was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed being outside, whether it be on the ski-doo, in the cabin, salmon fishing, or just having a good time with friends and family.

Clar always had the fear of Alzheimer's (or dementia in his case) which stole his mind much too early, and on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, with his loving wife by his side, his physical body left this world to be reunited with his mental self. Although it is difficult to say a last goodbye, his family is thankful his suffering is over. He has left us with many great memories.

He was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Doris Fifield; granddaughter Pearl Ruth Fifield (Infant).

Leaving with a lifetime of memories are his wife, Lillian, of 51 years; son Richard Fifield (Lisa Faulkner, girlfriend); daughter Denise (Doug) Christie; grandchildren Jayden Fifield, Cody Fifield, Claire Fifield, Patrick Fifield, Michelle Christie; sister Velma Fifield; nephews and nieces and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Ever Remembered, Ever Loved - Gone But Not Forgotten - Forever In Our Hearts!

The Celebration of Life service was held from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, South Brook, on Friday, September, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kerry Northcotte officiating. Interment was at the South Brook Pentecostal Cemetery, South Brook. The pallbearers were wife Lillian Fifield; son Rick Fifield; grandson Cody Fifield; friends Eric Thomas, Keith Morey, Archie Morey. Arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

COVID RESTRICTIONS:

• Visitations are permitted with restrictions and remain limited to 20 people at a time.
• The immediate family members can receive visitors. These visitors should come in groups within their bubbles, with only one bubble permitted at a time. Establish a system for attendees in the same extended bubble to reserve a specific time to visit.

• Ask individuals to wait in their car until they are permitted to enter to ensure there are no lines forming or gatherings.

  The maximum number of people in the visitation room at one time (including staff and family) should be the number that can be accommodated with physical distancing, according to the room size, but not exceed 20.

  People attending  will be ask to voluntarily provide their names and contact information for contact tracing. This information can be disposed of after 14 days.
