Charlie George Morey
1944 - 2013

It is with sadness that the family of the late Charlie Morey, age 69 of Mile''s Cove, NL.., announces his passing on June 17, 2013. Charlie Morey loved to help. If anybody was in need he was there. He loved to cut wood whether it was for the people in Miles Cove or for his work with Kruger. He will be remembered for his unselfishness in the work place and for his ability to give an honest day''s work. He was proud of an award from Kruger for having 35 years of work, accident-free. He was also a faithful Christian and was never ashamed to let others know of the change Christ had brought into his life. He will be remembered for his love of family, his love of the Christian faith, his love for his work and the people he touched every day. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Una Morey. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Winnie, son Owen (Melanie) and granddaughter Emily, who was the apple of his eye, sister, Avis (Cyril); brothers Hubert (Golda), Frank (Dona), Bryce (Joy), Rocky (Marlene); as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held from the Pentecostal Church, Miles Cove, officiated by Pastor Norman Joy, with interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Miles Cove. The pallbearers were Owen Morey (son); Frank, Bryce (brothers); Cyril Goudie, Junior Fudge, & Ford Morey (friends). Honorary pallbearers, Hubert (brother) & Wavey Fudge (niece). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail, Harry & Judy of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
