Obituary

It is with broken hearts, but with a shout of victory, that the family of the late Celia Vincent of Triton, NL, aged 81, announces her promotion to glory Friday, November 5, 2021.

Celia  is predeceased by her parents, Josiah & Evangeline Simms; husband, Otto Vincent; sons, Willie Vincent , & Kemp Vincent; sisters, Melita Ward, & Lily Williams Rice; brothers, Eric Simms, Harvey Simms, Jim Simms, & Derrick Simms.

Celia leaves to remember with loving memories her children, Lindy (Winnie) Vincent, Deborah (Charles) Bridger, Corvin (Penney) Vincent, Leo (Marie) Vincent, Della (Lloyd) Mayo, Pratt (Verna) Vincent, & Jeff (Natasha) Vincent; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Carrie Tucker, Juanita Campbell; brother, Bill (Betty) Simms; sisters-in-law, Shirley Vincent, Phyllis Vincent, Karen Simms, Marie Simms.

Celia Hilda Jane was born to Josiah and Evangeline Simms on April 29, 1940. On September 20, 1955 she married the love of her life, Otto Stanley Vincent, and settled in Triton, NL. Together they were blessed with eight children, and also raised one of their grandsons.

Celia was a very strong and selfless woman who worked tirelessly at home raising her family as well as working outside the home, at F.P.I.

Celia loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed some travel and loved visiting, facetiming and talking about her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandson.

Celia was a quiet, gentle woman who had a personal relationship with her Lord, whom she loved and served for many years. She will be missed by her family and friends, but will never be forgotten. They will cherish the memories built together on earth as they wait for that "glad reunion morning."

The Celebration of Life service was held from Maranatha Pentecostal Church, Triton. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Majors Frank & Rita Pittman officiating. Interment was at Triton Evergreen Triton. Honorary Pallbearer was son Lindy Vincent. Pallbearers were daughters Della Mayo, Deborah Bridger; sons Jeff Vincent, Leo Vincent, Pratt Vincent, Corvin Vincent, Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford and Julia Budgell of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
