It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Cecil Alvin Roberts of Triton, NL age 77, announces his passing at Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL on November 27, 2025.

Cecil leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his children Drew Roberts, Dino Roberts, David (Kendra) Roberts, Derrick (Lorraine) Roberts, Dane (Courtney) Roberts; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Hubert) Strickland, Bernetta (Wilson) Bennett, Marilyn Heath; brothers Lester (Gertrude), Colin (Marion)

Cecil is predeceased by his wife Lillian; his parents Bert & Maisie Roberts; sister Betty Tucker; brother in law Lawrence Heath.

Cecil was born to Maisie and Bertram Roberts on November 21, 1948. He was born in Triton, where he grew up with his brothers and sisters, and where he remained until his final days.

Cecil married the love of his life, Lillian Ryan, and together they raised their 5 boys. He spent several years working as a labourer at a sawmill, until health issues led to open heart surgery, and forced him to retire early.

Though he could no longer work, Cecil still loved going out in boat, and his greatest joy was catching squid. Over the last few years, his health kept him off the water, but it couldn't keep him off the wharf. He enjoyed spending time there with his fishing buddies, having a chat.

Cecil faced many trials and tribulations in his life, including the loss of his precious wife Lillian. And through it all, his love for the Lord never wavered. He enjoyed going to church every Sunday, for as long as he was able. He was a member of the Men's Fellowship in Triton and went to every meeting and event, until recently when his declining health left him unable to attend.

He was well known and well loved by everyone in Triton – he was a friend to all, and his presence will be deeply missed in the community.

Cecil will be especially missed by his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were all his pride & joy.

Visitation will be held at The Salvation Army Triton-Brighton Community Church, Triton, NL. Sunday November 30, 2025 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 7:00PM – 9:00PM

The funeral service will be held from The Salvation Army Triton – Brighton Community Church, Triton, NL on Monday December 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Majors Garry and Sandra Ward officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Triton, NL.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
