It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Catherine Rideout of King's Point, NL, announces her passing at the Health Science Centre, St, John.s NL, aged 63 years.

Catherine leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; her husband, Pleeman; son, Randy (Tiffany) Rideout; daughter, Patricia (Robert) Mullins; grandchildren, Jonah Rideout, Kaitlyn Rideout, & Zachery Rideout; mother, Nellie Wiseman; sisters, Christine (Wilfred) Burton, Maxine (Wayne) Spencer, Pearl (Jerry) Tizzard, Wanda (John) Welshman, & Stella Coombs (Cecil Pinksen); brothers, Claude Wiseman, Bruce Wiseman; mother-in-law, Melrose Rideout.

Catherine is predeceased by her father Baxter Wiseman; father-in-law Frederick Rideout

Catherine was born on August 7, 1960 in Springdale to Baxter and Nellie Wiseman, she was one of eight children.

Catherine grew up in Springdale and lived there until she married the love of her life Pleeman Rideout on Dec. 28, 1979.  She then moved & settled in King's Point where she had two children Patricia & Randy.

Over the years they to pack up their family and move for work which took them to NS, ON and AB, in 2017 they decided retire and move to NL. Catherine then returned to her passion of cooking and baking for everyone.  "In the Garden" as we would often say about the family living around us.  2017 was also a challenging time as it was the beginning of her struggles with kidney problems with many appointments to and from hospitals until the time of her passing on Sunday Oct. 15, 2023.

She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

A private family Celebration of Life service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home. Major Josh Randell  officiated. Interment was  at the King's Point Community Cemetery. The pallbearers were Randy Rideout, Jonah Rideout, Kevin Rideout, Darrin Patey, Morris Chipp, Ron Sacrey, Jim Rowsell and Chris Caines.
