It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family of the late Carol Annie Pynn (nee Strickland), age 70 of Springdale, NL announces her passing at her residence in Springdale, on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Carol was born October 11, 1949 to Mary and Gordon Strickland. As a young woman she went to work at Corner Brook hospital as an elevator operator and then on to a receptionist. She later met and married Brian Pynn of Corner Brook, on November 6, 1968; they shared 52 years of marriage and they raised three daughters Denise, Natasha and Tina. Carol also became involved in foster care, Girl Guides of Canada and the Kinette Club in the community. She managed several businesses in the Springdale area during her working life.

She spent a lot of her time camping with her family and friends and enjoying their own camper in later years .Carol also enjoyed gardening sewing, socializing with friends, shopping, playing cards, board games and going to church .She cherished her children and grandchildren. She always had a listening ear, a smile and hug for anyone. Everyone who met Carol loved her. She had a generous warm and kind heart; will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to have known her.

She is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Mary Strickland; sister Mary Strickland; brothers Kenneth Strickland, Harold Strickland.

Carol left indelible memories for her family and friends to cherish forever. She leaves to mourn her, husband Brian Pynn; daughters Denise Pynn (Graham), Natasha (Dion) Fudge, Tina (Rodney) Holmes; grandchildren Kyle Stevens, Madison Stevens, Ashley Lucas, Natalie Fudge, Ryan Fudge, Marcus Hicks, Sarah Holmes;  sister Pat (Len) Paddock; brothers Gordon Strickland, Clarence (Betsy) Strickland, Allan Strickland; sister-in-law Iris Pynn (Terry); brothers-in-law Christopher Pynn (Roxanne), Terry Pynn; nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends. Carol will forever be remembered in our hearts.

Ever Remembered, Ever Loved - Gone But Not Forgotten!

The Celebration of Life service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
