It is with sadness that the family of the late Calvin Evans of Harry's Harbour, NL, age 83, announces his passing on September 9, 2022. Calvin leaves to remember with beautiful memories of the wonderful life he shared, his wife Bonnie; daughters Donna (Lavern) Pynn, Dale (Andy) Wells; granddaughter Amanda Wells (Tim Kennedy & Ryder); Brother Glen (Dulcie) Evans.  He is predeceased by his parents Wilson & Jean Evans.

Calvin worked in forestry, construction, fishing and later retired from The Department of Transportation, as a heavy equipment operator. His love of hunting, boating, fishing and just enjoying the outdoors spanned his entire lifetime. Some of his best days were spent on the ocean. While he excelled in the role of husband and father, one of his greatest pleasures was being a grandfather. "Pop" spent many hours in his retirement years perfecting and enjoying the pleasure of being a grandfather.

He will be forever remembered for his patience, kindness, gentle nature, work ethics and most of all his quick wit and dry humor. He always had a quick response that usually created much laughter in everyone he met.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, on September 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Major Gerald Lacey officiating. Interment was at The Salvation Army Cemetery in Harry's Harbour, NL. Pallbearers were nephews Peter Gillingham, Jerry Upward, Ross Sharpe, Jeff Sharpe; friends Eric Sharpe, Bert Knight.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford and Julia Budgell of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
