It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Allister Burt, age 63, of King's Point, NL announces his passing at the Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, Springdale, on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

Bruce was born on April 16, 1957 to Arthur and Marion Burt of King's Point. He was one of three siblings, two boys and one girl. He met Nina Ryan of King's Point in 1971 and they were married on August 16, 1980.

Bruce love spending time with his family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and loved snowmobiling, salmon fishing, hunting; he was a member of the Springdale Rod and Gun Club. He also loved to play the musical instrument -Cornet. Bruce was also very skillful at carpentry and woodworking as his hobbies.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Abitibi until it closed in 2009; then went on to work with Teck Mining Inc., until 2014. Other than work, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family he loved attending church and was a faithful member of The Salvation Army, King's Point.

Bruce will be greatly missed, never forgotten and forever loved by his wife, family, and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Marion Burt; parents-in-law Chesley and Maisie Ryan.

Bruce leaves to mourn and remember the wonderful life that he lived, his wife of 40 years Nina Burt; brother Paul (Betty) Burt; sister Judy (Bruce) Giles; nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

The Celebration of Life service was held from the Interfaith Community Cemetery, King's Point, on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:30 pm with Major Brian Thomas officiating. Interment was at The King's Point Interfaith Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
