It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Dr. Bradley Truman Noel, of Springdale, NL, age 51, announces his tragic passing on September 10, 2022. He leaves to remember with beautiful memories of the wonderful life he shared, his wife Dr. Melinda Noel; mother Gail (Bernard) Hancock; parents-in-law Don and Bonnie Roberts; brothers Jonathan (Lynn), David (Kelly); sister Tanya (Chris) Morgan; brother-in-law Moody (Amanda) Roberts, Mark (Judy) Roberts; sister-in-law Marsha (Grant) Whalen; nieces & nephews Jordan, Christian, Joey, James, Katelyn, Spencer, Maria, Claire, Ryan, Drew, Kayden, Lucas.

He is predeceased by his father Truman Noel; grandparents Earl & Gertrude Penney, Ambrose & Muriel Noel; infant nephew Matthew Morgan.

Brad was the first child born to Truman and Gail Noel on May 28, 1971. He was the perfect first baby – he ate, slept and then slept some more. He loved his naps, something which he never grew out of. After three years he was joined by siblings Tanya, Jonathan and David.

He graduated from Charisma Collegiate June 1989 and went directly into Memorial University where he completed a BA in History and Religious Studies. In 1996 he graduated from Acadia University with a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology in 1997.

From there he completed a Doctor of Theology from the University of South Africa, and in 2014 a Doctor of Ministry from Acadia University. Brad firmly believed that because he was called to the ministry he would "study to show himself approved". He was passionate about sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting world, as well as helping believers understand more fully what it means to live according to Kingdom principles. He delighted in helping to train others to do the same.

In 1997 he married the absolute love of his life, Melinda Roberts from Triton, NL and became a beloved member of Don and Bonnie's family. Bonnie made sure she had a chocolate cake with Dream Whip for him when they visited. Although Brad and Melinda were not blessed with children of their own, they invested many, many hours in the lives of their nieces and nephews and they adored him. His passing has left a huge void in their lives. Brad was such a support to Melinda throughout their marriage but especially when she embarked on a long journey to follow her dream of becoming a family doctor to serve the people of our province. She was always his top priority and together they enjoyed every aspect of life. They were meant for each other.

Brad was a pastor, teacher, mentor and friend to so many youth of our province as he loved to teach at Youth Breakaways each year here at ECC. It was definitely a highlight of the summer for him as well as those young people. He was privileged to do this for nearly 20 years. In 2008 he was appointed as Director of Pentecostal Studies at Tyndale University, a position that he thoroughly enjoyed. Here he was thrilled to help train, and mentor students who felt called to the ministry. Brad and Melinda became an integral part of the lives of these students, many of whom have become lifelong friends. The passion that he had to convey the unconditional love of Christ for those who were feeling unloved, broken and unaccepted was remarkable. He had such grace for those who felt unworthy of the love of God.

Brad lived life to the fullest and enjoyed so many different things, whether that was in the outdoors doing winter activities, on the quad or sea-doo in the summer, or puttering around his shed with Bernard, Blair or Dike, but he especially loved long rides on his motorcycle. He put tens of thousands of kilometers on his bike. Sadly, Saturday's Ride For Hope would be his final ride.

What Brad wrote on Facebook to honour the Queen could in fact be applied to himself – "A model of faith, service, and duty "… to his calling. Although he has gone far too soon, we look forward to meeting him again.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Emmanuel Convention Centre, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Clarence Buckle officiating. A private family cemetery interment service was at Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery on Friday, September 16, 2022. Pallbearers were nieces and nephews; Jordan, Christian, Joey, James, Ryan, Drew, Maria, Claire, Katelyn & Spencer.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harry Oxford and Julia Budgell of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.

The Committal Service was held at The Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery on Friday September 16,2022 with Pastors Ryan Ball and Edwind Rideout officiating.
