At just nine years old, Beulah experienced the heartbreaking loss of her youngest sibling. Because of the age difference between her and her older sister and brothers, she spent much of her childhood growing up as the only child in the home.
At 27 Beulah married the love of her life, Guy Burton from Long Island, on November 22, 1989. Their love story began years earlier and grew into a strong partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and devotion. A year before they married, they welcomed their greatest joy into the world — their daughter, Crystal Jean, on November 22, 1988. From that moment on, she was her princess and pride, forever "Mom's baby girl."
On August 24, 2024, Beulah walked Crystal-Jean down the aisle, proudly giving her hand in marriage to Thierry. That day, she not only gained a son but also a cherished granddaughter Cindy. Family meant everything to Beulah, and her heart only grew with each new blessing.
Beulah first attended hairdressing school in Baie Verte, where she spent several years doing hair from her home and building warm connections with many in her community. She later pursued Early Childhood Education in Springdale and went on to teach kindergarten at Valmont Academy for a year. When her daughter Crystal Jean became ill, Beulah devoted herself entirely to being a full-time stay-at-home mother. Her love, dedication, and advocacy for Crystal were unwavering, and she made it her life's mission to ensure her daughter's happiness and health.
Throughout her life, Beulah also lovingly cared for her own parents in their later years, giving them the same gentleness and devotion she gave to everyone she loved.
