Beulah May Roberts (Short) was born on July 18, 1931 to Samuel and Minnie Short of Miles Cove, NL.

She met and married Baxter Roberts on March 2, 1950. They went on to have 13 children - 7 boys and 6 girls. Beulah enjoyed reading, fishing, water fights with the kids and going for a ride anywhere at any time. Many times the bread never made it to the oven because the car was getting ready to move. If you came to visit when she was reading, you had to take the book from her hands in order to get her attention.

Beulah's 13 children went on to have 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grand children known to her as "Nan''s little treasures".

In her later years she was diagnosed and bravely battled dementia until the end. She left behind a loving husband, a huge family and many friends to celebrate her life and remember her always.

She is predeceased by parents Samuel and Minnie Short; daughters Edna Roberts, Velma Roberts; brothers Allan Short, Lawrence Short.

Beulah leaves to mourn husband Baxter Roberts; daughters Hazel (Ern) Smith, Nola (Terry) Vincent, Liz (Steve) Roberts, and Elsie (Stan) Rubia; sons Claude (Jeanette) Roberts, Oral (Peggy) Roberts, Vaden (Vivian) Roberts, Gilbert (Juanita) Roberts, Nelson (Michelle) Roberts, Shawn (Neala) Roberts, Welson (Shirley) Roberts; 30 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; step-sister Alice Heath (Norm Short); brothers Nick (Edna) Short, Edgar (Vivian) Short, Rex (Elsie) Short; step-brothers Bob (Jean) Mitchell, Clifford (Louisa) Mitchell, Cam (Annie) Mitchell, George (Cheryl) Mitchell, Howard (Hyicianth)Mitchell; as well as other extended family members and friends.

The Home Going service was held from Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert''s Arm, NL on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastors Bill and Judy Harnum officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert''s Arm, NL. Honorary pallbearer was son Claude Roberts. Pallbearers were sons Welson Roberts, Gilbert Roberts, Oral Roberts, Nelson Roberts, Vaden Roberts, Shawn Roberts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
