It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Betty Clara Roberts Boone at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on November 12, 2025 at the age of 84 years.
Left to mourn are her children Donetta, Katie, Nita (Cecil), Gaye (Bob), Oral (Catherine), Rosalyn (John), Darrin (Cleo), Gregory (Adrienne), and Claudette (Ashley).
Also, grandchildren Wyatt, Paula, Jamie, Jeremy, Jeffery, Janet, Jenny, Sheena, Brandon, Bethany, Xander, Malcolm, Georgia, Gracelyn, Jenelle and Jillian,
24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 8 brothers and sisters Leona, Salome, Hedley, Jerome, Jerry, Madge, Harvey, Sandra and a very large extended family and circle of friends.
Predeceased by our dad Ford Roberts, step-father Abel Boone, her children Paula and Wade, and her 2 siblings Minnie and George.
Mom was born in Port Anson to Walter and Irene Goudie. Throughout her life, mom learned and lived a service to others. At a very young age, she was a caregiver to her siblings. After meeting dad, she became a devoted wife and supported him in the family business.
She was a wonderful mother, ensuring her children always came first. She cared deeply for others in her daily prayers, scriptures and reflections.
Mom's spirit of lifting others with a note or card was a gift to countless people.
Her kindness was to everyone; if you ever visited her, you didn't leave until she gave you something. Above all else, she was a Godly woman who was faithful to her church, community, family and friends.
Friends and family may visit Maranatha Pentecostal Church, Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Noble officiating.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, and as expressions of sympathy, that any donations be made to the Triton (Jim's Cove) Cemetery Fund.
The Roberts family want to offer a heartfelt thank-you to all who have supported, prayed and showed so much kindness to us during mom's last few weeks. We extend our gratitude to the hospital staff, mom's personal caregivers, and Dr. Chris Dicks.
"When I do my best, God will do the rest."
The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL
