Bernice Saunders 1939-2012
It was with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Saunders,age 73,of Springdale, announces her passing on September 22, 2012. Bernice was born May 14, 1939 in Beachside to Pastors D.C. and Annie Young. She lived in Griquet, NL for many years, where she married the love of her life, Carl, on January 17, 1957. . She was a quiet woman but spoke volumes with her unselfish and caring nature. A beautiful loving mother and wife whose most enjoyable times always centered around her family. She was a woman of class and her genuine compassionate nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of spending time in her presence. Bernice loved knitting, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She always had a smile and loved to laugh.

Bernice was pre-deceased by her parents Pastors Claude & Annie Young. She Leaves to mourn her husband, Carl; daughters, Hazel (Kerry), Pauline (Gerald), and Jennifer (Kelly); sons, Austin (Deanne) and Dale (Roxanne); Grandchildren, Joshua, Diana, Brittany, Justin and Zachery; great grandchild, Violet; seven sisters and four brothers and a number of close family and friends.

The funeral service was held from Springdale Pentecostal Church on September 26, 2012, officiated by Pastor L. Foster and Pastor R. Rowsell with interment at Pentecostal Cemetery. The pallbearers were Dale and Austin Saunders, Morris Newman, Bob Young, Kelly Smith and Bert Heath.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail (Noel) Hancock and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale.
