It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Roy Fudge of Brighton, NL age 80, announces his passing, on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Glenbrook Lodge, St. John''s, NL.
Arthur Roy Fudge was born October 12, 1934 to Andrew and Violet Fudge and was raised in Brighton. He was Promoted to Glory, Thursday, August 13, 2015.
He was a loving caring man who enjoyed life. Arthur always welcomed anyone who came to his door. Over the years Arthur had a number of jobs, such as mining, working of the Kloster (Dorman Robert's boat) and superintendent of an apartment building in Toronto, ON. He loved doing woodworking, making wind chimes, boats, etc.
Arthur loved his church, singing and praising his Lord. He took great delight in expressing his soldiership, faithful attendance to worship meetings and playing the accordion. Today we say "Well done thou good and faithful servant," until we meet again.
He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Violet Fudge; sisters Ethel Simms, Elsie Simms; stepson-in-law Derrick Simms.
Arthur leaves to mourn wife Margaret Fudge; son Rene Fudge (Bonnie Osmond); daughters Cindy Fudge, Cathy (George) Winsor, Nanette (Charles) Smith; stepsons Jerry (Nola) Vincent, Randy (Mary) Vincent; stepdaughters Karen Simms, Maunda (Laurence) Fudge, Pansy (Bill) Quinn, Judy (Randy) Stevenson, Paula (Tom) Heath, Theresa (Dean) Burton; brothers Selby Fudge, Harvey (Linda) Fudge; sisters Eileen (George) Ball, Betty (Harry) Oxford, Greta (Otto) Oxford; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and never forgotten.
The Home Going service was held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton, NL on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Majors John and Donna Goulding officiating. Interment was at the Community Cemetery, Brighton, NL. Pallbearers were brother Harvey Fudge; stepson Randy Vincent; cousin Elmo Fudge; step-grandchildren Cain Simms, Jane Simms; nephew Terrence Fudge; stepson-in-law Dean Burton; great-nephew Hayden Roberts . Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
