It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Gladys Tucker announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex in Springdale, NL on Sunday July 4th, 2021 at the age of 90 years.

Alma was born on December 13th, 1930 in Smith's Harbour, NL to parents Sophie and Arthur Shiner. Alma was an only child. When Alma was 3 years old, her mother, Sophie, passed away and her aunt, Blanche Shiner and father Arthur raised her.

In her early years, Alma worked at Joe Tucker's store for a brief amount of time where she met the love of her life, Harvey Chesley Tucker and were married on June 20th, 1956 in King's Point, NL.

Alma had a passion for knitting, sewing and she loved to grow vegetables in her backyard garden. She loved reading her Bible and attended church every Sunday.

Alma is predeceased by her parents Sophie and Arther Shiner and husband Harvey Tucker.

She leaves to mourn with loving and fond memories sons Tony (Verna), Lloyd (Cindy), Wayne (Anita) and Boyd (Vanessa); grandson Cody (Brittany); granddaughters Megan (Connor), Brianna and Macy; nieces Ruby Toms, Phyllis Burt, and Cathy Howlett; as well as other extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex for the care given to our mother/grandmother and for your support shown. Alma will be missed by all who knew her. Gone but never forgotten.

Her celebration of life will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel in King's Point with Majors Brian and Betty Thomas officiating on Thursday July 8, 2021. Interment was at The  King's Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tony Tucker - Son, Wayne Tucker - Son, Boyd Tucker - Son, Cody Tucker - Grandson, Megan Tucker - Granddaughter & Vanessa Tucker - Daughter-in-law.
