It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Alma Jeanette Blanche Rideout of King's Point, NL, age 80, announces her passing on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Alma is predeceased by her loving husband, Claude Rideout; parents, Edmund & Ella Toms; brother, Mac Toms; sister, Gladys Rowsell.

Alma leaves to remember with beautiful memories of the wonderful life she shared; sons, Shawn (Stella) Rideout, Sheldon (Tammy) Rideout; daughter, Mavis (Jack) Butt; granddaughters, Claudette Rideout & Susan Noseworthy; grandsons, Tanner Oxford, & Gregory Noseworthy.

Alma was born to Edmund & Ella Toms in Twillingate, NL, on September 13, 1941.

Whenever Alma was around, you never had to worry about going hungry, there was always food, as cooking and baking was one of her very favourite things to do. The house was always spotless, without fail; there was always a vacuum in the middle of the living room when you went to visit. She also followed Claude wherever work led, making sure Claude and the kids were always taken care of and had everything they needed.

Alma's children and grandchildren were her entire pride and joy.

The celebration of life service was held from The Salvation Army, King's Point, NL on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Majors Brain & Betty Thomas officiating. Interment was at the King's Point Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were: sons, Shawn Rideout, Sheldon Rideout; grandson, Tanner Oxford; family friends, Jamie England, Corey Matthews, & Barry Strickland.
