It is with sadness that the family of the late Alice Kelley (nee Short) of Robert's Arm, NL, age 71, announces her passing, on Wednesday, June 08, 2016 from the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

Alice Blanche was born to Henry and Winnifred Short on May 10, 1945. She came from a large family; she was one of fifteen children. Alice met and later married Wilbur Heath of Robert's Arm, NL. Together they had 5 children, of whom were 3 boys and 2 girls. After her first husband Wilbur passed away, she met and married Albert Kelley.

The outdoors was created by the God of the universe and she truly loved His handiwork. She not only loved his handiwork but she thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, admiring His beautiful creation and all that was a part of it.

Alice enjoyed her days riding in boat, fishing and having a nice boil-up on the beach with Dad and the children. She loved the opportunity to go see new places. Alice always enjoyed it when her children and grandchildren came to visit and it always showed by the smile it brought to her face.

She is predeceased by her first husband Wilbur Heath; second husband Albert Kelley; parents Henry & Winnifred Short; brothers Malcolm Short, Raymond Short, Norman Short, Sydney Short, Willie Short; sister Laura Young; granddaughters Jennifer & Jessica Sheppard.

She leaves to mourn daughters Maxine (Rodney) Gray, Kimberly (Alfred) Sheppard; sons Henry Heath, Rocky (Loretta) Heath, Tony (Krista) Heath; brothers Ambrose (Gladys) Short, Clarence (Wanda) Short; sisters Doris Slade, Elsie Austin, Effie Burton, Marjorie (Lloyd) Wiseman, Thelma (Otto) Wiseman, Florence (Ron) Young, Donetta (Joe) Croucher, Bessie (Joe) Reid; sister-in-law Alice Heath; grandchildren Amanda (Nicholas) Winsor, Mandy (Chris) Reid, Kayla Gray, Monica Gray, Megan Gray, Rodney Gray, Katie Gray, Maria (Brandon) Heath, Dylan Heath, Kenneth Sheppard, Yvonne (Eric) Sheppard, Jorden Heath, Ashley Heath; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Winsor, Leah Winsor, Rachel-Lynn Reid, Emma Reid, Lexie Reid, as well as many other family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life service was held from Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert's Arm, NL on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastors Bill and Judy Harnum officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert's Arm, NL. Pallbearers were Henry Heath, Tony Heath, Rocky Heath (sons); Alfred Sheppard, Rodney Gray (sons-in-law); Kenneth Sheppard (grandson). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Chris Morgan, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
