Henry "Albert" Hewlett

1930 - 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry "Albert" Hewlett of Robert''s Arm, NL announce his passing on July 22, 2014. Albert was born November 9, 1930 to George and Lillian Hewlett of Miles Cove, NL. On November 24, 1954 he married the love of his life Lillian Loveman of Miles Cove; together they had 5 girls and 6 boys. Albert enjoyed and had a great love for many things in life, he enjoyed the outdoors especially logging, fishing, hunting, his cabin and most of all he loved seeing people visit, whether you were family, friends or people he just met, he loved to see you come and didn't want one to leave. He was a man of strong Godly faith, loved church, loved to pray and hear people sing gospel music. On Tuesday, he left his earthly home to take up residence in his heavenly home with his Lord and Saviour. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew him but never forgotten. He leaves to mourn: wife - Lily; daughters: Maxine (Paul), Joy (Herb), Geraldine (Gord), and Wanda (Lloyd); sons: Woodrow, Kevin (Rosemary), Glenn (Roxanne) and Kenneth; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by: parents: George and Lillian Hewlett; Daughter: Linda; sons: Edwin and Roy; sisters: Minnie, Lucy and Emily; brothers: Piercy and Gordon. The pallbearers were six of his grandchildren: Jamie Payne, Chris Payne, Lisa Noseworthy, Danielle Wellman, Raymond Hewlett and Steven Hewlett. Honorary pallbearer: Myles Hewlett (grandson). The Home Going service took place from Word of Life Tabernacle, Robert''s Arm, NL, on July 19, 2014, officiated by Pastor Bill Harnum. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Gail Hancock, Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford.
