It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Albert Eric George Short of Robert's Arm, NL,  announces his passing on June 6, 2024 at the Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL, aged 88 years.

Albert leaves to remember with fond and loving memories; his wife of 66 years Lillian; children, Karen Short, Leila (Steadman) Rideout,  Darlene (George) Blandford, Gino Short (Carol Lee Kennedy), Terrance (Anne) Short & Connie (Kirk) Roberts; daughter-in-law Jennifer Short; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Sheila (Clarence) Locke, Kay Mary Ricketts, Brendon Ricketts, Juanita Ricketts, Bessie & Doug Reid, Fred Parsons, Betty & Ed Morgan, Margaret & Gavin Ivany; & brother-in-law, Bert Paddock.

Albert is predeceased by his son; Philip, great-granddaughter, Mercedes Colbourne - Rideout adoptive-parents; William & Jemima Short, birth parents; Hubert Parsons & Mable (LeDrew) Ricketts; siblings; Tassie Newberry, Gladys Paddock, Joan White, Elsie Budden, Elmo Parsons, Patrick Ricketts, Patricia Locke, Geraldine Clarke, & Kevin Ricketts; sister-in-law, Betty Parsons.

The funeral service will be held from The Salvation Army Robert's Arm Pilley's Island Corps, on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at 2 pm with Pastor Craig Gaulton officiating. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Robert's Arm, NL.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
