It was with great sadness that the family of the late Adeline Newbury (nee Froude), age 69, of Springdale, NL announces her sudden passing on May 6, 2019 from the Springdale Retirement Centre, Springdale, NL.

Adeline was born to Gertrude and Bert Froude on January 6, 1950 in Windsor, NL. Adeline had 2 sisters Eileen and Marion, three brothers Russell, Don and Stand. She moved to King's Point to be the housekeeper for Annie and Bert Newbury, where she met her love, Carl Newbury. They were married on October 31, 1969. Together they raised three children who were her world and loved them very much. She had 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Adeline loved listening and watching church services. She loved to read her Bible, and loved her Lord. She was kind to everyone and would give them the last cent to anyone in need. She appreciated everything that was done for her. The smallest act of kindness shown to her was huge. One of her delights was to sit in her rocking chair enjoying her diet coke. If you visited her and there wasn't a diet coke to be seen there was something wrong.

Adeline was sick during the last three years and longed to be with Jesus. Now she is now in His arms and care, reunited with her loving husband Carl.

She was predeceased by her husband Carl Newbury; parents Bert and Gertrude Froude; sister Marion Austin; brothers Stan Froude, Don Froude.

Adeline leaves to mourn daughter Cavell (Jordan) Chaulk; sons Tony (Loretta) Newbury, Bradley Newbury (Kim McNeil); grandchildren Isaac Chaulk, Julian Chaulk, Aaron Chaulk, Karen Curtis, Travis Newbury, Erica Newbury, Amy Bennett; great-grandchildren Jasper Curtis, Josiah Curtis, Jerrett Curtis, Peyton Newbury, Jayden Bennett, Joshua Bennett; sister Eileen (Alvin) Yakes; brother Russell (Evelyn) Froude, daughter-in-law Lori Bennett, and a number of close family and friends. Adeline will be missed by all who knew her. She is now safe in the arms of her Lord. Gone but not forgotten – Forever In Our Hearts.

The Home Going service was held from Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor William Sampson officiating. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Cherry Crescent, Springdale, NL. Pallbearers were sons Tony Newbury, Bradley Newbury; son-in-law Jordan Chaulk; grandson Isaac Chaulk; great-nephew Barry Austin; brother Russell Froude. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Elaine M. Rideout and Harry Oxford of Green Bay Funeral Home, Springdale, NL.
